About us

Twenty-seven towns and cities are SERSG members and managers.  They benefit from shared procurement and administrative services provided by one regional administrator.

The unique SERSG approach requires direct engagement, provides local control, and secures group cost-savings.  Each member municipality delegates a representative to the Board of Directors and the Directors authorize all SERSG work.  Initiatives are requested by member municipalities, and are tailored to meet the specific needs of those participating communities. This method avoids problems that can result from a one-size-fits-all approach, and achieves decisions that best serve participating communities.  Services are available to all members, but the decision to participate in any procurement or service lies with each member.

SPRINGTIME:  Annually, SERSG Invites bids for Paper, Water & Sewer Treatment Chemicals, and DPW Supplies.  Bid packages are available in late March, awarded by June, and result in contracts effective from July 1 of that year, through June 30 of the next.

Every two years, bids are also invited for Office Supplies, following a similar schedule as above.  This results in a two-year contract that begins on July 1.

AUTUMN:  Every three years, a Request for Proposals is issued for Drug & Alcohol Testing services.  This was bid in November 2020 and prices are secured for 2021-2023.  It will again be bid in the fall of 2022.

Annually, SERSG invites bids for DPW Services.  Awards are in place for 3/1/21, with contract renewals for up to 3 years on specified services.

Member representatives meet monthly to manage organizational business.  Email SERSG@sersg.org for meeting details.
